During the reset this week, Bungie has brought back the Winter Holiday event known as The Dawning. Players will once again be baking countless treats using ingredients acquired through bounties as well as using specific abilities or defeating various enemies. On top of that, the Eververse store has been stocked with new holiday items and snowballs can be thrown at enemies in most of the playlist activities. In addition to farming plenty of Dawning Spirit, players were also presented with new Raid Challenges for the Deep Stone Crypt. Over the past few days, players have attempted to complete the Red Rover challenge which tasks Fireteam members with finishing the encounter with each member having been the Operator at least once as well as having shot two panels on the lower floor. Naturally, weapons and gear are just one aspect of creating a great build, and with Season of Plunder, players have access to a ton of new seasonal perks. Many of these are Arc related and some players have seemingly discovered how powerful some of them can be including Voltshot, which was previously flying a bit under the radar. The mod essentially gives players the ability to use the Jolted debuff to release chain lightning even when not using an Arc subclass....

While it would be nearly impossible to list everything that Curse of Osiris adds to Destiny 2, mostly because we don’t know everything that Bungie will add, there are a few things that caught our eye. Most notably, it appears that Destiny 2 players will be getting a selfie emote to capture all of their favorite moments. The selfie emote makes a brief appearance in some PvP gameplay footage that was released after the initial Curse of Osiris reveal....

The Iron Banner Shotgun and Machine gun are bugged and not dropping from any sources outside of the Seasonal Iron Banner Quest. Guardians curious about when the bug may get fixed now have some news about a potential fix to the bug. As eagle-eyed fans comb over the trailer and try to identify more of its secrets, they have discovered that the footage includes multiple Destiny 1 exotics. As explained in the video below by YouTuber Mesa Sean, the Destiny 2 DLC will likely bring back The Jade Rabbit. That weapon is an exotic scout rifle that remained exclusive to PlayStation players until Fall 2017. It’s unclear whether the Destiny 2 version of The Jade Rabbit will also be a timed exclusive, building on the exclusive content deal that continues with Destiny 2 PS4....

The trailer is perhaps not as informative and focused as some players would have liked, potentially because specific details were intended to be covered as part of the livestream rather than in the trailer itself. Instead, the trailer is fast-paced and intended to build hype. The new items are shown only briefly throughout the trailer, acting more as a teaser than a preview. With less than a week until launch, a teaser should likely prove plenty for excited Destiny 2 fans, though....

As a game with a particularly long history, Destiny 2 has had its share of ups and downs. One of the current downs, as pointed out by fans, is the state of one particular Super Ability. This is the ultimate power for one of Destiny 2’s subclasses, in this case one possible path for the Gunslinger and its hard-hitting Golden Gun. To put it bluntly, the Gun’s not working properly....

Javelin-4 will play host to the Control gametype in the Destiny 2 PC beta, replacing the Endless Vale map that was the map where console players tried the classic Destiny PvP mode. The PC beta will also include the Countdown game mode, which will be played on the Midtown map, just as it has been since Destiny 2’s reveal event back in March. For longtime Bungie fans, Javelin-4 definitely has vibes of some Halo maps of old, especially Countdown from Halo: Reach....

One of those classes of items is season-specific ornaments. Updates to Destiny 2 in 2018, as well as the start of Season 2 with the release of the Curse of Osiris expansion, introduced a number of armor ornaments specific to certain vendors and activities. Some of the most sought-after groups of ornaments are those belonging to Iron Banner. Luckily for players who have yet to earn them all, Iron Banner returns this week for one final Season 2 run....

Glimmer is capped at 250,000, but Legendary Shards are all but limitless. Guardians assumed at first that the maximum stack possible was 999, though the abundance of ways in which Destiny 2 players can get their hands on the resource has grown exponentially. Now, even in the aftermath of an infinite Legendary Shard glitch, players are still curious as to how many Legendary Shards they can hold at once....

Players may be more familiar with the term “Tower” compared to the Last City. The Tower is the main hub of Destiny 2 and is located on the walls of the Last City. The full breadth of the metropolis can be viewed from the Tower, but Destiny 2 players seldom find the chance to visit the streets of this place. Alongside the new Kinetic Linear Fusion Rifle called Arbalest, Xur has returned with his usual assortment of exotics and weekly Invitations of the Nine quest to potentially throw a monkey wrench into the already chaotic Revelry content. With new refreshed Forsaken exotics in tow thanks to the Season of the Drifter update, players may have new options to counter the increased grenade spam that has started due to the Reveler’s Tonic buffs....

While players continue racking up medals, a new bit of controversy ignited among the community following Bungie’s weekly blog update. The news this week centered on the return of Ada-1 to the Tower and the highly requested transmog system. The main issue most players have is that the system requires players to grind for new synthweave resources and each season has a hard cap with how many armor pieces can be made into universal ornaments....

The big reveal was the upcoming return of Vault of Glass. While players won’t be able to explore Venus, Bungie announced that the classic Destiny raid is returning on May 22 and kicking off a brand new World’s First race. This time, the title is being tweaked slightly since this is returning content. For the clan that finishes the revised raid first, they’ll still be getting a belt with the clan name on it, but it will also honor the original team who first bested it back in 2014 by including their names on it as well....

We say usual, but this week is anything but ordinary for Xur. Bungie is looking to make a statement to Destiny 2 players with the Agent of the Nine’s inventory this week and they accomplished that goal, and then some. More on that, in a bit. Xur Location This week, Destiny 2 players can find Xur in the Winding Cove section of the European Dead Zone. Spawn into the landing zone and head directly forward until you reach a cliff face....

The Cult of Aeon exotic armor pieces are a series of exotic gauntlets: Aeon Swift, Aeon Soul, and Aeon Safe for Hunter, Warlock, and Titan classes respectfully. These exotics have always been unique in the sense that they are the only exotics that work off each other for maximum value, requiring every fireteam member to equip their respective Aeon Cult exotic. This unique attribute is unfortunately the reason why these exotics are underused....

One of these triumphs that Bungie has tweaked is the Realmwalker achievement and accompanying title that is rewarded for earning a specific set of armor mods in game. The change will essentially let any Destiny 2 player with the necessary materials earn everything needed in order to complete the challenge and earn the Realmwalker title across the next week. However, there were some other interesting details that came from the audio file datamine as well. For example, the audio files suggest that the Destiny 2 factions and faction leaders will have a greater role to play in Year 2, beyond simply serving as Faction Rally vendors. According to the audio files, players will be doing much more for the Factions beyond simply hoarding renown and then clearing Lost Sectors....
