The Fallen have been an enemy since the first Destiny, and certainly show no signs of slowing down their armies and Houses. Destinyis home to many enemies, but the Fallen is perhaps the most interesting and misunderstood, with many lore aspects helping Guardians to understand the purpose of the Fallen. 8 Docked Arms One of the most notable features of the Fallen is their four arms. However, it is worth paying attention to Dregs, who only have two arms, but seem to have their other set of two arms cut off and forced to remain as stubs....

In the most general sense, the Nine appear to be Paracausal entities much like the Light and Darkness, Savathun the Witch Queen, and the Guardians. Their strength is immense and the Nine wield powers that can let them distort realities. Still, their ability to interact is often limited in the physical world, relying on Xur and the Emissary, and most recently the Nine Horse, to communicate with the Guardian. Despite this, the Nine have been playing a major role in the solar system since players were introduced to it, with a checkered history of events aimed at preserving themselves above all else....

Unlike last year, the Solstice armor grind doesn’t involve remixed campaign missions and instead tasks players with completing all sorts of different base game activities. These range from playing through a set number of Crucible or Strike missions, taking part in public events, defeating enemies in the newly added European Aerial Zone, collecting elemental orbs, and much more. The reward is well worth the effort, however, as not only do players unlock some impressive looking armor but also the first set to utilize the upcoming Armor 2....

The other big addition to the game this week is the annual Moments of Triumph, an event that runs for seven weeks and celebrates everything from the past year. A new set of triumphs, rewards, and a seal are available for players to earn, even though parts of this event won’t be available until the Solstice of Heroes event starts later this month. With the quest for Bad Juju and Calus’ tributes rages on, the Agent of the Nine has also made his weekly return to Destiny 2 and has brought a new selection of exotics that players can purchase....

Outside of the event name change to just Solstice, this week’s blog update revealed new details for the event including summer themed loot and other rewards. The EAZ event space is also changing into more of a horde style mode, where players attempt to prevent enemies from extinguishing bonfires while collecting new resources called Silver Leaves. These can be upgraded into Silver Ash, in order to upgrade Solstice armor and apply glows....

Talking specifically about how the new Dawnblade will replace the Sunsinger subclass, Smith says the self-resurrection of the Sunsinger caused problems: Self-res caused multiple issues in Destiny 1 on both the PvE and PvP sides of the game....

Across social media, Destiny 2 players have been complaining that the game suffers from frame rate drops and has done so since the game launched earlier this month. Fans say that frame rate drops effect activities with multiple players and that when they team up with their friends, the frame rate can drop dramatically from 30 FPS to single-digit figures. Public Events and the Leviathan Raid are particularly affected. The Trostland event in the European Dead Zone (EDZ) drops frames behind the back of the church, with some players saying that they avoid the event altogether if they can....

Now that Destiny 2 made all mods available for free to all players, newcomers can rest assured that Lightfall will make buildcrafting much more accessible to them than it ever was. On top of that, the many changes to longstanding Destiny 2 systems, such as Champions, can likely make a huge difference in terms of build diversity in endgame content. Among them is the fact that players will now have several built-in counters to Champions coming with their elemental subclasses, and if these changes apply to each element as a whole, then it’s likely that a single fusion rifle will be the single best anti-Champion weapon in the entire game....

The latest Destiny 2 glitch discovery gives the Hawkmoon exotic hand cannon infinite one-hit kill potential, under the right circumstances. For PvE, this glitch is a fun novelty but unlikely to do much to benefit players, but in PvP, it can do some serious damage. The bosses for strikes are most commonly stronger, and sometimes modified, versions of members of the specific strike’s primary enemy species. While the main mobs that Guardians will fight on the way to the end boss are mostly comprised of rank-and-file enemies, the bosses will often have different and unique mechanics. The Devil’s Lair strike, for instance, focuses on a prime servitor known as Sepiks Prime. This servitor is a focus of worship for the Fallen and a high-ranking member of the House of Devils....

The news regarding the limitations being put in place for Destiny 2’s Guided Games feature came during a conversation on Kotaku’s E3 2017 podcast, with game director Luke Smith confirming that Heroic-level raids and Nightfall Strikes will still require Guardians to have their own groups to play with. Smith said, “I don’t know exactly how the Challenge Mode layers are going to work [with Guided Games], but the normal-tier activities will be Guided Games, and the Heroics will be find-your-own....

Detailed in its latest weekly blog post, Bungie revealed a new emblem that will unlock once all objectives are completed and any player has completed one Nightfall run in Destiny 2 from September 3 to the 10th. While the emblem may be a source of pride to those who participate, Bungie has made the deal even more enticing by increasing the Menagerie rewards as well. If the community is able to knock off all challenges before the week ends, Emperor Calus will guarantee two rewards when slotting their runes and opening the chest at the end of a successful Menagerie run....

Gambit has also been placed into the Lab by introducing a new variant mode called Invasion Swap.
