The Reddit user, “dl33t3d,” posted a spreadsheet showing the data collected using the DARCI and the Whisper of the Worm in a strict damage per second (DPS) test. While it could be said that Whisper of the Worm will outperform DARCI in overall damage in Destiny 2, the differences here are much more nuanced than that. The answer is not necessarily that one of these exotic sniper rifles is better than the other, but the more important question is under which condition should each of these weapons be used....

With the release of the Last Wish raid, players finally uncovered the last Seed of Light needed to round out the subclass trees, and it left many fans upset. To unlock the third Seed of Light players needed to defeat Kalli, The Corrupted – the first raid boss in the Last Wish raid. However, Cozmo, one of Bungie’s Community Managers, sent out a tweet telling players that there will be other opportunities to unlock the Seeds of Light....

A new gameplay trailer for the return of Trials of Osiris to Destiny 2 was released, showcasing the action-packed high-stakes PvP event. What’s most interesting, though, is the trailer teases the Lighthouse rewards. But, for some reason, right now in Destiny 2’s Season of the Worthy, these missions are insanely easy and do not require players to be in a fireteam. That includes the Heroic versions that give and progress these weapons’ catalysts. The platforming and puzzle sections of these missions have not gotten any easier, but something is causing the enemies in these missions to be extremely weak to players’ weapons. Both red-bar enemies and major yellow-bar enemies go down in one shot and even the bosses can be completely destroyed in mere seconds....

In the meantime, the next iteration of Trials of Osiris also kicks off today, brining with it another weekend full of changes. This time around, Capture Zone makes its return, though the mode no longer rotates to give the losing side a location advantage. The flag will rotate between three neutral zones on the Endless Vale map and players will no longer gain super energy for capturing a zone as was the case last time....

As seen in the image of Destiny 2’s Development Roadmap below, Guardians should expect to see Crucible Labs come out alongside Faction Rallies improvements and Exotic Armor Sandbox Changes on May 29. According to design lead Derek Carroll, Crucible Labs will be included in Update 1.2.1 and offer players the chance to become “a louder voice in [Bungie’s] creative process” by offering fans the ability to access “experimental PvP content” so as to better take feedback into account before releasing the final product....

Exploration glitches have also been a staple of Destiny 2, where players have found area’s typically blocked off or made inaccessible. Last season after the arrival of the Beyond Light expansion, players even discovered ways to break into zones which had yet to be activated such as the Creation facility. The Deep Stone Crypt also featured a popular glitch that completely eliminated one of the debuffs in the first section of the raid, making it highly soloable....

Thankfully, players don’t need to collect every single craftable weapon under the sky, since some of Destiny 2’s craftable weapons are worth the effort more than the others. As a reminder, there are two PvP playlists in the game: Quick Play that will be for more casual and fun gameplay types such as Control and Clash, while Competitive will feature more intense playlists like Survival and Countdown. Bungie’s Lars Bakken calls Survival the spiritual successor to Destiny 1’s Skirmish game type. That game mode was a 3v3 deathmatch mode that also included the mechanic of reviving teammates. But instead of being 3v3, it is a 4v4 mode like every other playlist in Destiny 2’s PvP....

If Bungie ever decided to create a spin-off Destiny game that crossed over into another genre, it could look at the Super Mario series for inspiration. The Nintendo icon appears in a whole host of different games and genres including Mario Kart, Mario Tennis, and Mario Party. The problem is that if players do not already have the Rekindle the Flames quest in their inventory prior to the release of Shadowkeep, it is impossible to get the Key Mold, which is a major step in completing the quest for Izanagi’s Burden. Chances are that many of the players who already had the quest in their inventory already completed it. But those who are just now trying to get Izanagi’s Burden are going to be completely out of luck....

The new lore details are scattered across the class items of the prestige raid loot. The Titan gear explains that Ghaul used to be a gladiator and was famed for his movement, his unusual markings, and his “determination” as no opponent was too big or too strong for the warlord. Meanwhile, the Hunter gear explains that the Destiny 2 antagonist was a “masterful conspirator”, dedicated to his plan to overthrow Emperor Calus....

After admitting that the weapon has shipped with a bug which made it so overpowered, Destiny 2 developer Bungie put the Prometheus Lens into Xur’s inventory, allowing everyone to buy it and use it in PvP. And use it in PvP they did as the statistics from the latest Trials of the Nine event show that the majority of Destiny 2 players used the OP weapon to help them secure kills and wins....

If players want to complete this quest to secure this powerful weapon, they will need to either solo the mission or seek out other people to play with. Thankfully, this Destiny 2 exotic quest can be taken on solo with relative ease with the right loadout and strategy. This week, a Destiny 2 fireteam of only two players was able to beat the final Calus boss fight in only one phase. Previously, a two-player team was able to beat Calus, but this new team did so much faster. Compared to that first team, this team (composed of Gladd and Tfue) only did a few things different and used the same basic strategy. They still used the hiding spot in the Shadow Realm and the Throne Room player relied on Wardcliff Coil to take out most of the enemies....

While there are only four hidden chests in Destiny 2’s Vault of Glass Raid, one stands out as more difficult than the other three. These four hidden chests will drop raid mods as well as Vault of Glass Raid gear that Guardians have unlocked from in the raid. As players have discovered this week following the launch of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep, not only has many of the powerful engram reward sources been removed outright, but when they do drop in the world, they’re now grouped into different categories. However, the game doesn’t go into any detail as to what the differences between a tier 1 or tier 2 powerful reward actually are. Destiny 2 fans have a lot to look forward to lately, with major news drops regarding the Season of the Lost, which features unique events plus rewards, and now The Witch Queen expansion. The DLC will bring along a whole slew of content, including a new destructive weapon type, environments, and more. Outside of the latest rumors, Destiny 2 has seemingly entered a lull period to allow players to catch up on the rush of content and challenges added throughout the first half of the season. The Solstice of Heroes entered its second week, no doubt keeping players busy upgrading their Solstice armor for their classes. Thankfully, the lull doesn’t seem to be applying to Bungie as the studio continues to prepare for August 24 which sees both the next season as well as the highly anticipated Witch Queen reveal event....

With part 1, there’s a lot of valuable insight into where the game has been including discussions surrounding the Annual Pass. Considering this was the first time Bungie created a calendar of content rather than adding content through dedicated expansions, the studio learned plenty of valuable lessons, both good and bad. The original intention with the Destiny 2 Annual Pass was to provide players with new things to chase and collect more often while getting away from content droughts due to DLC expansions....
