Disgruntled Destiny 2 fans have taken to subreddits, Twitter, and elsewhere to express their disappointment with the way Champion mods are implemented in Season 15. The main complaint seems to be that the mods for the most desirable weapons use the same slot, meaning that players will have to fiddle around their inventory a lot more than usual if they want to be able to take out Barrier, Overload, and Unstoppable Champions while keeping decent loadouts....

So far in the Season of Plunder, players have turned mostly to the new Expedition and Ketchcrash activities in search of new seasonal gear, weapons, Umbral Energy, and other sorts of pirate-themed loot from the current season in Destiny 2. The addition of the new Captain’s Atlas seasonal item allows Guardians to use a variety of different Treasure Maps to further their gains from Expedition activities whether it be Glimmer or gear, and has provided one of the few reliable methods of farming Deepsight weapons from the new season....

In its weekly blog, developer Bungie gave a preview of Update 2.2.1, tentatively scheduled to launch on April 9th. Within that update, the drop rates for the Dreaming City Ghost shell, ship, and Sparrow will be greatly increased. For one thing, that will definitely help players still looking to earn the Cursebreaker title. Bungie said when playing activities that drop those items, the chances of getting them to drop have doubled, tripled, or more....

At first through experimentation, and then through confirmation from Destiny 2 developer Bungie, players can progress the “Scour the Rust” objective and get past the “Conviction” step by getting kills with submachine guns instead of grenade launchers. There are actually a few issues with the quest step, with it mentioning Super kills in the tooltip and a grenade launcher icon for the actual progress bar. And then the solution of submachine guns actually progressing the requirement throwing in another inconsistency....

The Proving Grounds Strike in Destiny 2 will be available for Season Pass holders following the Weekly Reset on Tuesday, March 23. One week later on Tuesday, March 30, all Destiny 2 players will be have access to the Strike. Specific details on what Destiny 2 fans can expect from the Strike have yet to be revealed, but it appears as though it will be the next major story beat for Season of the Chosen....

Proving Ground is now available to all Destiny 2 players and happens to be this week’s Nightfall Strike. Double Nightfall rewards and higher-difficulty completions means successful players can easily get plenty of enhancement prisms, ascendant shards, and great perk rolls on the must-have Palindrome Hand Cannon. Naturally, community driven sites like the Destiny 2 subReddit exploded with concerns, negativity, and feedback on why this was a terrible idea. The level of discussion seems to have made an impact however as Bungie quickly backtracked its decision and will be disabling the artifact altogether. The main argument against the artifact is that it removes the element of player skill when XP can be farmed and grinded for by those who have more time on their hands than others....

This weekend also marks the final week of the current season. Season 5 kicks off alongside The Black Armory content on December 4, following one week of tweaks to the core game similar to how Bungie prepared Destiny 2 prior to the Forsaken expansion. While details are slowly coming out about what players can expect, Bungie has yet to confirm if this update will mark the start of when Xur will be selling Year 2 exotic items since it’s expected that this latest update will bring new items and weapons to hunt down like The Icebreaker and The Last Word....

On July 25, there was a scheduled clan migration, which would require anyone who currently leads a clan in Destiny 1 through Bungie.net to convert their clan or Bungie.net group over to a Destiny 2 clan. That has been pushed back one day as a result of the beta extension. An exact time was not given for July 26, but community manager DeeJ said that the clan migration will kick off with a blog article and support documentation on Bungie....

What a lot of people forget about the world of Destiny 2 is that, despite the game being combat-centric and focusing on the exploits of the Guardians and their allies, the world of Destiny is just that: a world. Not everything in it relates back to fighting, and many of the little touches that flesh out the universe that the players are fighting to save have become beloved cannon....

Lightfall will bring numerous quality-of-life features to Destiny 2, but many players won’t be focusing on the mechanics. Rather, fans have been clamoring to get their hands on the new content coming to the Destiny saga. Fortunately, Bungie developer Joe Blackburn has shared information about the upcoming expansion that sheds new light on the enemies that players will be facing. The glitch involved stacking the Ashes to Assets perk/mod twice on armor and then firing the Telesto at the ground and throwing a grenade at the projectiles. The grenade detonating the projectiles counts as an enemy kill per projectile, and with Ashes to Assets granting super energy upon a grenade kill, it granted tons of super energy all at once. There were many ways in Destiny 2 to accomplish this including using Enhanced Ashes to Assets perks, using the Nezerec’s Sin exotic helmet along with another armor piece using the Ashes to Assets perk, and more combinations that grant supers to players almost instantly....

Bungie changed this in Season of the Lost, making it so primary weapons had an infinite ammo supply. The move is now being praised, as it no longer makes Guardians cower away from the fight, especially in time-sensitive or purposefully hard missions like Nightfalls and Grandmaster Strikes and Dungeons. Fans are taking to the r/destinythegame Reddit forums to praise the quality-of-life decision and reminisce on all the painful pitfalls of the past....

Reddit user Zorseking34 recently took to the forum to complain about Destiny 2’s Gambit mode. Zorseking34 pointed out how one team in Gambit could have a significant lead in motes and yet are still able to constantly invade the other team. This makes the mode “insufferable,” according to Zorseking34, and many in the comments agreed with their assessment. Zorseking34 asked Bungie to “please fix Gambit,” and community manager dmg04 actually responded....

Dawnblade is a solar-based subclass for the Warlock build in Destiny 2. The super ability allows Guardians to slash a firey-like beam through the air towards enemies. For all super abilities in Destiny 2, players must build up a charge over time and by taking down enemies. Games of service style games, with frequent updates and changes, can often have issues that fall through the cracks....

Destiny 2 player MTashed posted a demonstration and explanation of the glitch in a YouTube video, and he claims that he grabbed nearly 15 Exotics in only 3 hours. That’s it. They don’t have to do anything else since the bug works autonomously....

Leaker Wish shared information about the upcoming Destiny 2 plans for Bungie’s 30th anniversary on Twitter. It’s unclear if Wish pulled the leak from the recent Destiny 2 “Zoom Leak” or if they have insider information on the matter. Regardless, Wish says that they expect a Halo-themed mission to be released on December 30. This mission, they say, will take place on the space station from the original Halo game....

Destiny 2 players on consoles will likely only get this glitch to work with an Arcstrider, whereas those on PC should be able to easily keep the infinite super going with any subclass with a roaming super. In order to make this happen, players will need access to the Tribute Hall and “The Other Side” mission by earning Bad Juju, plus they need to have unlocked the Tribute that grants super energy within the Tribute Hall....

Those numbers are according to The NPD Group, who said Destiny 2, which released on September 6, topped the charts for the month of September but also sold more copies than any other game that launched since the beginning of 2017: There were earlier reports that the physical sales of Destiny 2 were half that of Destiny 1; however based on this new data from The NPD Group, it appears that can be explained by many gamers who bought the game digitally....

These vaulted locations were added to the Destiny Content Vault, and while they are in there, they are unplayable and not part of the main Destiny 2 experience. With so many new players coming into the game as Destiny 2 goes free-to-play, some players will need a recap of all the vault content so they have a better idea as to what is going on in the massive Destiny universe....
