While players can lower the asking price by completing daily challenges in exchange for items called Boons of Opulence, some players have discovered cheeses and glitches to actually lower the prices much faster than normal. A fix for this is coming on July 30 and while Bungie won’t be issuing penalties for those who took part in them, the fix introduces a debt system that tracks the actual number of boons submitted rather than the glitched ones....

One-Eyed Mask was added to Destiny 2 in the Forsaken expansion, and it was quickly discovered to be one of the best exotics in the game, especially in PvP. The One-Eyed Mask’s exotic perk is called Vengeance, and it marks any enemy that damages the player. If the player wearing One-Eyed Mask is then able to track down that enemy and defeat them, they will gain increased damage, health regeneration, and an overshield....

The hidden location appears to be for one of Destiny 2’s handcrafted Lost Sector missions. As shown in the video below, players are able to ‘glitch’ into the area by jumping onto a ledge and then making their way through cracks in the level design. It’s quite literally a balancing act until the group of players finally touch ground, and find a large cavern where the textures blink in and out of existence and a giant mound of dirt is in the middle....

Developer Bungie did not disclose exactly which catalysts will appear in Season 6, but said “a few” would be released over the course of the Season of the Drifter. For those wondering when and which catalysts will be available, Bungie said that information will be shared in future patch notes during next season. For those that might not be familiar, the Outbreak Perfected quest culminates in a mission called Zero Hour that gives players 20 minutes to complete some intense platforming and puzzle-solving, bookended by battles with Fallen enemies. As one might expect, time is of the essence when it comes to completing Zero Hour but Destiny 2 players, as they usually do, have found a way to cheese the mission to gain extra time....

Hinting at the changes on Twitter, Game Director Christopher Barrett replied to fans who wanted additional armor Masterworks, as well as an upgraded mod system, making many Destiny 2 players believe that the features may be in development right now. The current mods that are present in the MMO-inspired shooter might prove useful to those looking to raise their level, but there’s no doubt that fans would prefer the system to become more streamlined and in-depth than it is already....

Lightfall will take players to the hidden Neptune city of Neomuna, populated by humans who escaped the Collapse and have evolved separately from those living in The Last City. What was clear from the Destiny 2 showcase of this expansion is that Neomuna is not like The Last City or any other location before it, especially the Witch Queen. According to game director Joe Blackburn and assistant general manager Dan McAuliffe during a recent interview with PC Gamer, these differences were intentional....

On its own, the Gyrfalcon’s Hauberk was proving to be a very viable choice for Hunters in Destiny 2, but it didn’t take players long before they found some combos that made it a little too strong. Specifically, when the Hunter player was working with a Titan, they could buff their teammates to the point they were unkillable. Trials of Osiris is disabled for the rest of the weekend, and it is unclear how much longer than that the PvP activity will remain unavailable according to a post by the official Bungie Help Twitter account today. The account asks players to “stay tuned for updates” on how Bungie will be working to resolve the issue, but until a fix comes around, Destiny 2 will be down a mode....

Developer Bungie announced today that there are new issues with the quest and that the developer is currently investigating. It appears that the problem is that the quest is not correctly recognizing when players turn in certain items to progress the quest, specifically the Obsidian Crystal and the Forge Key. Until the issue is fixed, Bungie is telling players not to turn in any of these items because players are reporting them being lost without have any effect in moving the quest forward....

However, one of the big Destiny 2 reveals that came up during this latest developer stream has been the quality-of-life updates Bungie’s been working on under the hood, which didn’t end up getting leaked in any way, shape, or form. The biggest item on this list is certainly the upcoming introduction of full-fledged gear loadouts into the game, allowing players to quickly and easily switch between entirely different item setups on the fly....

In today’s Weekly Update, Bungie clearly laid out the Destiny 2: Shadowkeep power level caps, but there are some new thresholds to consider. Not counting the power associated with the new Artifact, there are three power level caps in Destiny 2: Shadowkeep. Bungie previously talked about how it has a bold vision for how seasons transition moving forward in Destiny 2, as the in-game narrative and events of one have momentum and change the world itself and giving players a sense of progression through the seasonal content. In addition, Assistant Game Director Joe Blackburn provided players with a glimpse at what Bungie is planning in 2021 for Destiny 2. Season 13 is already shaping up to be a major one with two classic Destiny strikes, Fallen S.A.B.E.R. and Devil’s Lair, returning to the game. In addition, console players are getting DDoS protection and the Legendary and Master Lost Sector rotation will be updated to include Moon locations and new exotics....

Where is Xur? As players should know, the weekly Flashpoint milestone is currently set within the European Dead Zone, which means Xur has set up shop there too. Players can find the mysterious NPC hanging out in his usual spot in Winding Cove, just a short climb away from the fast travel point. Players can find him hanging out on a ledge overlooking the open space where public events typically take place....

In addition to ability and super changes, Bungie is making changes to various subclasses as well including nerfing stasis crystals and the ability for Shatterdive hunters to one shot frozen enemy guardians. Titan Shoulder Charges no longer one shot guardians at full health either, though Warlock melee attacks have been improved and should now be able to compete with Titans and Hunters, though the range has been nerfed slightly as well....

In addition to the Festival, Bungie has also been tweaking the seasonal events, Astral Alignment and Shattered Realm. This past reset, the Shattered Realm was given a legendary difficulty modifier, not only giving players a shot at higher stat armor for overcoming the increased challenge, but letting folks claim the associated triumph needed for the seasonal title. Next week, the same difficulty comes to Astral Alignment with rotating modifiers, locked equipment, and more....

Bungie has confirmed plans for a Destiny 2 crossplay beta, set to go live in the game next week. The Destiny 2 crossplay beta will start on Tuesday, May 25 and last until Thursday, May 27, giving Destiny 2 fans across all platforms the chance to test the feature. Anyone that’s interested in trying Destiny 2’s future crossplay capabilities will be able to do so, as there are no signups necessary and the beta is completely to open to all players....

Bungie discussed one detailed example of one exotic getting buffed in an upcoming update to illustrate how the developer is treating this design pass at the exotics in Destiny 2. Destiny 2’s Trials of Osiris has been the victim of win-trading for the past couple of weeks, but it has come to a head as this week. According to Trials Report, a Twitter account focused on analyzing and reporting data associated with Trials of Osiris, nearly 50 percent of all of the fireteams with flawless Trials runs have zero kills to their name. More than that, over 69 percent of them barely have five kills, which indicates the vast majority of players are win-trading....
