The Haunted Forest Destiny 2 is big on its holiday events, including its spooky Halloween-like Festival of the Lost; it will be the last Festival of the Lost before Bungie drops all the changes coming with Beyond Light. The Festival of the Lost has been around since 2015, and this year seems like it has big celebrations and spooky surprises in store. One of these is a trip through the Haunted Forest, which is a spookier, darker, and more difficult version of the Infinite Forest....

Here are a few reasons why the delay may actually turn out to be a good thing. This is still the Hive’s philosophy, which is called Sword Logic, and it comes from the Hive pledging their allegiance to the Darkness and the Depth millennia before mankind’s Golden Age, believing in the power of survival through supremacy. This is opposed to the Traveler and the Sky, which are about providing power to benefit anyone, trying to bet on their goodwill - something the Traveler did with mankind so much that it eventually gave up its residual energy to turn humans into Guardians, wielders of the Light....

Even though popular missions like Presage and Harbinger are being placed inside of the Destiny Content Vault alongside the Witch Queen update, Bungie has confirmed that players will have other ways to acquire new rolls for both Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale. When Xur visits each Friday, he’ll bring new versions of both guns with him, giving more incentive for players to find the mysterious vendor. To ensure that everyone is on the same page when Shadowkeep finally arrives, Bungie updated Destiny 2 earlier this week to give all Forsaken expansion owners the Annual Pass for free. This gives them access to the Black Armory Forges, Gambit Prime class armor and Reckoning, as well as the Menagerie and Season of Opulence content. Previously locked exotics like Outbreak Perfected and Lumina are now available for everyone, giving players an almost overwhelming amount of things to do in the next week and a half....

Destiny 2’s fourth year was its best yet thanks to its seasonal content, but Beyond Light as an expansion was just alright according to fans, and the main reasons for it are that it launched with Stasis in a bad shape in the Crucible, where it dominated, and the fact that the campaign and Europa felt underwhelming. Still, Stasis is a fundamental tool in every Guardian’s kit now, and there are plenty of other things Beyond Light came with, like the Deep Stone Crypt Raid....

It’s another touch of nostalgia in Shadowkeep, which brings back many of the Moon’s locations such as Archer’s Line and the Temple of Crota as well as incorporating the Destiny 1 PvP map First Light into the explorable destination. Eris Morn is also making a return in Destiny 2, a character who became a vendor in the Tower and a major player in the story in Destiny 1 but has been curiously absent since the launch of the sequel....

After announcing that Destiny 2 will use the Blizzard games client on PC, Blizzard published a list of answers to frequently asked questions. In that post the company confirms expected features such as the use of social features including friend chat, parties, and status icons for the game, but it also states that people can use their Blizzard Balance to purchase Destiny 2. The Blizzard Balance can be topped up by World of Warcraft WoW Tokens which in turn can be purchased with World of Warcraft gold....

However, it seems that some players aren’t content with improving their skills, and instead look for any advantage they can get through weapons, abilities, or in some cases by hacking the game. One player by the name of Globe has been outed recently for cheating in Destiny 2’s Trials of Osiris playlist, a PvP game mode that has become the center of the current Season of the Worthy. The “New Ways to Play” trailer for Curse of Osiris hints at some of tomorrow’s livestream reveals, though no specifics are mentioned directly. That content includes the Mercury patrol region, which features what Bungie’s described as the largest public region yet, as well as the Infinite Forest area. The Infinite Forest is the, well, infinite structure that the Vex has built at the heart of Mercury which simulates the past, present, and future of the present of the planet....

First off, as promised, Bungie is increasing the drop rate of the Anarchy grenade launcher, the raid exotic that players can earn randomly from the last chest after completing the Scourge of the Past raid. There are stories of players still unable to find Anarchy despite dozens of clears almost a year after the raid’s release. The drop rate is going from 5% to 10%. GameStop’s product pages for Destiny 2 identify that both the sword and the emote are Legendary items, and the emblem is themed after the Cabal Empire. Here they are: Clearly, the emblem is a broken chalice, the meaning of which and how it fits in with the Cabal is unknown. And the sword has a white, gold, and silver color scheme. It’s harder to tell what the emote is, although it appears as though the Guardian is in a shooting stance or performing some sort of shooting action as if holding a hand cannon....

One way that gear could be obtained way back during the original Destiny was through replaying strikes until strike-specific loot would drop as a reward for completing the challenge. This unfortunately hasn’t been the case for the current form of the game as none of the incredible strikes from Destiny 2 have any loot that is specific to any given mission. Soon after Bungie revealed Destiny 2’s Guardian Games trailer, players automatically assumed that Hunters had an easy win ahead of them. There are a lot of Hunters in Destiny 2, especially in PvP, but some would argue that there are just as many Titans and Warlocks. Trial of Osiris Destiny 2 is no stranger to Osiris’ trials; they have been a big part of the game all year. Although the Trials have had their share of troubles this year, like a game-breaking Lighthouse bug that shut the Trials of Osiris down back in June. But like last week, those markers will lead players to their location; however, they could be hidden above, below, or inside of something that make them tricky to find. The Vex Transponders look like a white circle commonly used in Destiny 2 to denote that players can plant a beacon. Alongside the delay, Bungie revealed that it was moving event end dates and adding in new content to fill in the time. Moments of Triumph is now active until September 17, Iron Banner is also coming back that same weekend, and Bungie is preparing a double Valor and Infamy weekend as well to help players progress faster. Bungie also confirmed the Raid name as the Garden of Salvation also revealing that it’ll be live on October 5, the first World’s First race to take place over a weekend....

Hope may be on the way, however, as season 6 has recently been confirmed to begin on March 5. While Bungie hasn’t detailed what’s coming during the Season of the Drifter or its annual pass content, players are hoping that at least a few Forsaken exotics start appearing on occasion in Xur’s inventory. At the very least, the promise of something called Xur Bounties has left the community intrigued....

While the news is no doubt disappointing for players, Season of Arrivals has been extended to the new expansion launch date. This extra time gives players more chances to finish off their Moments of Triumphs, tackle the limited time Prophecy dungeon, and other seasonal content. In addition, Bungie is adding new content to the seasonal roadmap including the annual Festival of the Lost celebration as well as a few other things it’s keeping under wraps for the time being....
