In a lengthy Q&A session with Game Informer, Bungie’s Steve Cotton and Scott Taylor revealed (or at least teased) a lot about the upcoming Forsaken expansion and the Year 2 update that will release alongside it. The two also explained how mass shader deletion will work when it comes to Destiny 2 on August 28th. Once the update goes live players will be able to delete shaders in stacks of 5....
Developer Bungie showed off the new social space on a special reveal stream, where a few developers spoke about the story, characters, and some of the locations in Curse of Osiris. Brother Vance, the character that acted as the vendor to the Trials of Osiris returns in Destiny 2 as the planetary vendor for Mercury (the equivalent to Devrim Kay on Earth or Failsafe on Nessus). The Lighthouse will serve as the main hub to all activities on Mercury, the new world being added in Curse of Osiris....
Bungie first introduced The Dawning in 2016 as the series’ new holiday-themed seasonal event to give the often-bleak universe some festive cheer. Previous editions of the event gave players the chance to earn weapons including the Avalanche machine gun, Cold Front SMG, and the Zephyr sword. To start, Bungie describes one of its biggest priorities regarding the development of Destiny 2. The damage exploit basically allowed The Division 2 players to stack weapon talents and damage bonuses by interacting with a minigun and going into their menu at the same time. If done right, currently equipped weapons would gain nearly unlimited unique talents and millions of damage per second on top of it resulting in a pretty broken game experience. Massive was clearly not amused and harshly punished with two week rollbacks and bans....
Bungie’s community manager, David Dague (aka DeeJ), told IGN’s Destiny podcast that Rumble did not make the cut for Destiny 2: That’s sure to be bad news for some who loved the mode, but Bungie is making it very clear that, at least at the launch of Destiny 2, the focus is on a more classic 4v4 game modes. It is likely hard for some to accept the fact, however, that the game is leaving out a mode that is fairly standard for first person shooters, even ones that also maintain other more team-focused playlists....

Not only can this glitch be done as a full raid team in Destiny 2, but as shown in the video below, it’s simple to do it as a solo player. However, don’t think this is going to be the go-to method for completing the Morgeth encounter as it only removes the boss from the area but does not kill it. Within the original Destiny, Prison of Elders is a Horde-like, three-player co-op arena mode that was included in the game’s House of Wolves DLC. This next Destiny 2 hotfix has a few highly anticipated tweaks, one of which should please those players that regularly run the Leviathan raid. Although Bungie cannot fix the Emperor’s Seal exotic quest to work correctly – i.e. tally the correct number of seals for each encounter – the studio does have a solution. After next week, every encounter will still award 1 seal, but completion of the quest will only require 10 seals instead of 100....
