Teams who play it right can have plenty of invasions available leading up to summoning the Primeval, completely negating enemy players their Motes and stalling their side of the map. Likewise, having builds that melt Gambit’s Primeval can also be problematic for the opposing team, who then usually loses the match in a matter of seconds. These things show how desperately Gambit needs an overhaul, and while Destiny 2’s The Witch Queen expansion will bring changes to the game mode, given the scope of the release, it’s likely that these will mostly consist of minor tweaks and adjustments....

A new post from the official Bungie Support Twitter account revealed that the studio has disabled the Seeker of Brilliance perk on the popular Contender’s Ghost Shell. While Bungie did not provide a detailed reason why, Destiny 2 players have figured out that the perk is causing Eververse related engrams to spawn more often than likely intended. As far as class-exclusive Exotics and other weapons, nothing has transpired up to now, and players are wondering if that may be a sign of more items being locked behind secret missions, much like Hawkmoon and Dead Man’s Tale from Year 4. If that proves to be the case, Destiny 2 fans will likely discover something about it in the coming weeks, as these missions are often shipped starting around week three or four of a new Season....

While it an be argued that it’s not the most effective and constructive way to stage one’s complaints, it’s hard to miss the anger and frustration players are feeling with microtransactions in Destiny 2. The topic has been discussed since the launch of the game, but The Dawning winter live event seems to have sparked this online demonstration. Bungie is adding a new difficulty mode to Destiny 2’s Astral Alignment activity. In addition, Astral Alignment is gaining new modifiers, introducing new risks and rewards to the six-player co-op activity. In its weekly blog post, Bungie detailed the first every Destiny 2 community challenge. Because the developer plans to make some changes to Mars in a forthcoming update on September 3rd, it figured that there were some other things it could add as well. Specifically, there will be a set of challenges that the community can complete on Mars and if it is successful, Bungie will offer a reward....

As part of the latest hot fix for Destiny 2 this week, all players who currently own the Forsaken expansion can now access all of the Year 2 Annual Pass content as well. Simply logging in will grant full access to all parts of the Annual Pass including the Black Armory forges, Gambit Prime armor, and Season of Opulence. Naturally, not every player is happy about this as there are a lot of comments and replies on social media from people who feel slighted about originally paying for the pass....

Another issue with Destiny 2’s PvP is that the new Void 3.0 and Solar 3.0 updates ended up shifting the focus from a more balanced mix of gunplay and abilities to a meta where spamming certain abilities is the trend. The changes made to the sandbox and the ammo economy in the Crucible also created a new meta where team-wide invisibility and powerful Exotics like Lord of Wolves are running rampant....

However, what makes this season a bit more challenging than what players have experienced in seasons past is the current Nightfall mission rotation. Season of the Lost features numerous Nightfall strikes that the community has noted are riddled with game-breaking bugs and are overly challenging. In fact, The Corrupted nightfall strike features Overload Champions that are capable of regenerating their health non-stop and fire seeker bolts even when stunned. Even with all the difficulty, some fans have found a way to bypass some of the intended challenge....
