In addition to dealing with FOMO, Bungie also confirmed that it is bringing back Umbral Engrams and the Prismatic Recaster to help focus the loot into something more specific. Not only is this intended to help offset the damage that gear sunsetting has caused, it also gives players another way to farm gear that they want. While these were a bit plentiful in Season 11, the drop rate has been tweaked in season 13 so they shouldn’t drop quite as often....

While Bungie has yet to confirm anything, changes do appear to be coming to Xur in some form or another. While many believe that new loot will be added to his inventory pool sooner or later, the recent video detailing what’s coming to the game over the next year featured something called Xur Bounties. This feature is locked behind the Annual Pass and won’t be around until the Season of the Drifter, but anything that potentially makes this merchant a little more exciting is likely to be welcomed by the player base....

Outside of the competitive activities, Bungie also hinted at some interesting story developments by reissuing the Legendary sidearm known as Spoiler Alert. When asked about why the sidearm was brought back along with its ominous favor text, Senior Narrative Lead Julia Nardin admitted that it was not coincidence, but wouldn’t delve any further. The last time the sidearm made an appearance, it was prior to the death of Cayde-6 in the Forsaken expansion and considering Witch Queen is now a few months away, players fear someone else is now on the chopping block....

In addition to Haunted Forest runs, Horror Story and Braytech Werewolf will also be available with new randomized perks to chase. Players will be able to unlock new triumphs, special mummified versions of items like sparrows, Ghosts, and ships, as well as Eververse items which can be purchased for Bright Dust of Silver Coins. Better yet, every Eververse item will be up for sale for Bright Dust except one special finisher called One Inch Punch....

Bungie revealed the change in its latest This Week at Bungie post, explaining that the Destiny 2 developers wanted to “give players more agency in earning random rolls” for these two weapons. Not that there aren’t already ways to earn Pluperfect and Temporal Cause, but it never made sense that they couldn’t drop from Vex Offensive to begin with. In a message shared via the official Bungie Help Twitter account, Trials of Osiris will be returning sooner than may have been expected. The next round of Trials of Osiris will start on December 18, if everything goes to plan. A hotfix correcting the mode’s issues is currently being worked on, so the December 18 date is only tentative. There’s always a possibility that Bungie encounters an unforeseen issue. But if everything goes to plan, Trials of Osiris will be back in two weeks....

This comes as fairly big news, as even the more recent expansions Forsaken and Shadowkeep will be included, and the upcoming Destiny 2: Beyond Light expansions will be made available on the program day one when they release this November. Additionally, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers will even be able to play Destiny 2 on mobile devices through Project xCloud game streaming. Cosmic Sugar Cubes can be used to get better loot from Xur. The Starhorse in his treasure horde is the key to using the materials, which can be converted into better equipment and gear for Destiny players. The items that drop from Cosmic Sugar Cubes should be at a higher Power level than players’ current weapons and armor. Getting Cosmic Sugar Cubes can be tedious, but the rewards are worth it....

The game modes detailed for Destiny 2’s 1.1.4 update are 6v6 Iron Banner, Rumble, Mayhem, and (coming at a later date is) a new version of Doubles. Each will see some major changes to the core setup, while the returning entries will be slightly tweaked. Quicksilver Storm is acquired by preordering Lightfall. The weapon fires homing rockets at targets once players have hit more than one enemy. This could be incredibly beneficial for PvE encounters, which is why it’s unfortunate that the auto rifle has been disabled in dungeons and raids. Baryon Bough is a type of ethereal substance found in the Dreaming City in Destiny 2. The tree-looking resource serves a purpose to Guardians journeying through the location. The Faction Rally event ended today and Destiny 2 players have discovered that the winner is New Monarchy. New Monarchy’s victory means that a sword called Honor’s Edge has been unlocked for all players to purchase, with those who fought under the New Monarchy banner getting a big discount when they purchase the weapon.
