Interestingly enough details for Season 19 may have arrived a bit earlier than expected. Eagle-eyed fans noticed in the original Witch Queen crafting video that Bungie showcased how weapon crafting can be used on existing weapons, in this case Seventh Seraph, which is commonly linked to Warmind Cells attributed to Rasputin. With Ana Bray and Rasputin’s storyline still left unresolved, and a possible connection to the Nefele Stronghold on Neptune within the Warmind logs, many are assuming Rasputin could be a key feature in Season 19 to help tie Destiny 2 to the Lightfall campaign.

For now, there’s a bit more waiting to be done before Bungie opens up on Season 19 details. However, players can get their new weapon fix right now as the weekend merchant Xur is back again in Destiny 2 for a limited time. Follow this guide for his most current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he’s brought for the weekend of November 4, 2022.

Where is Xur?

This weekend, Xur is back on the ledge of the European Dead Zone.

Fast travel to the Winding Cove zone and immediately head towards the back where the Fallen typically patrol. Climb the cliffs back here to find Xur standing on a ledge not too far from a crashed ship.

Class Armor and Exotic Cipher

Xur’s role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.

Xur continues to sell even more gear outside his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer.

Exotic Armor

Crown of Tempests - Warlock helmet

For Warlocks that like to get their Emperor Palpatine on, the Crown of Tempests remains one of the best exotics for Stormtrance. It remains a top option thanks to the exotic perk Conduction Tines. With this item, any arc ability or Jolt final blows increases the recharge rate of Arc abilities and extends the duration of Stormtrance.

This is an item that all Warlocks should have as it’s one of the best exotics to use with Stormtrance as it can quickly regenerate abilities. Considering the recent update to arc subclasses, this is easily a recommended buy this week for those who don’t have it.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

Mobility +8 Resilience +2 Recovery +20 Discipline +11 Intellect +9 Strength +12

Orpheus Rig - Hunter leg armor

Orpheus Rig remains a solid exotic for Nightstalker Hunters, even after Bungie’s nerf to super generating gear in the Season of the Worthy update. Considering how strong they were, Bungie limited the item’s potential for super gain, placing a limit on the amount of super that can be gained after using Shadowshot to a maximum of 50%.

While they’re no longer anywhere near the levels they were at before, the Orpheus Rig boots are still a great choice for tether Hunters. Uncanny Arrows enhances the Shadowshot super ability by giving players ability energy for each enemy tethered by Deadfall anchors. For those using Moebius Quiver, they can take one additional shot than they’d otherwise have. Overall, it’s still a decent pick for Hunters, even if the item doesn’t quite pack the same punch it once did.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

Mobility +8 Resilience +17 Recovery +7 Discipline +9 Intellect +12 Strength +8

Doom Fang Pauldron - Titan gauntlets

The Doom Fang Pauldrons are back in stock this week. Its exotic perk, Horns of Doom, grant super energy on void melee kills. Not only that, melee kills recharge Shield Throw when Sentinel Shield is active, also extending the super on basic hits.

Needless to say, this is another must-have item for Sentinel Titans, just for the added recharge effect alone. The melee benefits also apply to players using a void sword as well, not just for using the Titan melee attack. It’s also worth noting that the roll on this gear is the highest this week at 63 in total, even if the highest stat is mobility.

Void Enhanced. Stat Values:

Mobility +21 Resilience +3 Recovery +7 Discipline +15 Intellect +2 Strength +15

Exotic Weapon

Unlike other grenade launchers in this class, The Prospector can fire its rounds as a fully automatic weapon by holding down the trigger. Its exotic perk is called Excavation which lets players hold the trigger to fire the grenade and then release it to detonate all live grenades simultaneously. In addition, grenades can stick to surfaces and set targets on fire.

Naturally, this weapon allows players to blanket large areas with grenades before detonating them all at once. It can be a little unruly with the full auto system, but once players get the hang of it, it can lay some serious damage on enemies. It’s an older weapon but its likely that many newer players may not have it since it hasn’t been in the spotlight in quite a while. It’s worth spending the shards on.
