In the meantime, the next iteration of Trials of Osiris also kicks off today, brining with it another weekend full of changes. This time around, Capture Zone makes its return, though the mode no longer rotates to give the losing side a location advantage. The flag will rotate between three neutral zones on the Endless Vale map and players will no longer gain super energy for capturing a zone as was the case last time.

Along with Trials is the weekend exotic gear merchant known as Xur. The salesman has once again made his return to Destiny 2 with a new set of Legendary and Exotic gear for purchase. Follow this guide for his most current weekend location, news on his exotic cypher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic gear he’s brought for the weekend of November 12, 2021.
Where is Xur?
This weekend, players can find Xur on Nessus, hanging out on his usual massive tree branch.
From the Director, head to Nessus and load into Watcher’s Grave. Run towards the back of the zone where a massive tree is found. Jump up until players find the huge branch where the merchant is hanging out.
Class Armor and Exotic Cypher
In Season of the Lost, Xur’s role has expanded as the exotic merchant has weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cypher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clanmates or finishing more challenging activities.
With Season 15, Xur is now selling even more gear outside of his usual content. In addition to his normal exotic gear, Xur now has Legendary Weapons and Armor for sale in exchange for Legendary Shards and Glimmer. Better yet, the stat rolls are pretty solid on the Black Armor gear for this week.
Exotic Armor
Apotheosis Veil - Warlock helmet
The Apotheosis Veil is a solid support exotic that isn’t dependent on subclass. It comes with the exotic perk Insatiable, which immediately regenerates the player’s health, melee, grenade, and rift energy when activating their super. Nearby allies also recharge class abilities faster as well.
It’s likely not great in all situations, but it could come in handy when playing difficult activities or even in competitive PvP modes. It may not replace the standard go to exotics, but could be worth a look for some players. Like the other gear this week, the stat roll isn’t great and features a lower than usual total of 61.
Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:
Mobility +9 Resilience +9 Recovery +16 Discipline +13 Intellect +15 Strength +2
Knucklehead Radar - Hunter helmet
Hunters gets the Knucklehead Radar helmet this week, back nearly one month after it was originally on sale. The helm really lends itself to PvP modes in the Crucible thanks to the perk Upgraded Sensor Pack which enhances the player’s radar when crouched and keeps it on the screen when aiming down the sights.
Useful is the best term to describe this exotic as it’s not the best option out there for Hunters, but it can be valuable in the right situations. Knowing where enemies are coming from even when aiming down the sights can come in handy inside of the Crucible, though there are better options overall. Unfortunately, the stat roll isn’t great and it comes in with the lowest total numbers for all three exotic items this week.
Void Enhanced. Stat Values:
Mobility +3 Resilience +21 Recovery +7 Discipline +2 Intellect +2 Strength +25
Ashen Wake - Titan gauntlets
While this exotic is normally not something to get overly excited about, Titans may want to take another look at these gauntlets this time around. The Ashen Wake gauntlets, while they were improved last year inside of of Bungie’s sandbox changes made to the game, can be particular fun when paired with the Grenedier perk.
Bring the Heat makes fusion grenades explode on impact and gives the player increased throw speed. The recent buff grants additional grenade energy for final blows made with a fusion grenade. The stronger the enemy, the more energy is returned. Ultimately, they’re still situational and not for everyone. Worse yet, the roll on these this week leaves a lot to be desired as well.
Solar Enhanced. Stat Values:
Mobility +6 Resilience +19 Recovery +7 Discipline +14 Intellect +7 Strength +9
Exotic Weapon
It’s been a while but the Suros Regime auto rifle is back again. It’s perk is SUROS Legacy, which gives half of the current ammo magazine bonus damage as well as giving a chance to regenerate health after a kill. However, the gun features a second perk that lets players pick what kind of weapon they want to use. Spinning Up increases the rate of fire when the trigger is held down. On the other hand, Dual Speed Receiver slows down the rate of fire and increases the damage when the player aims down the sights.
It’s a solid pick up this week, though there are currently much better options for players. However, it may be time to pick this weapon back up as Bungie announced upcoming changes to the exotic auto rifle and it’s Dual Mode Receiver ability.
Additional perks:
Hammer-forged Rifling Tactical Mag Hand-Laid Stock
