Exotics, in general, are in an interesting place right now in Destiny 2. This week’s big update certainly helped players by adding a duplicate weighing system which makes it a lot more likely that the next exotic engram to drop won’t contain an item the player already has. However, exotics continue to drop at a very low rate and the much hyped up Master Ives murder mystery quest has so far disappointed many by being only the basic first step to a series of quests that are spaced out over numerous weeks. In fact, many believe to be a marketing push for the upcoming Black Armory DLC if the rumored reward is actually true.
Here’s everything Xur is selling in Destiny 2 for the weekend of November 2, 2018:
Where is Xur?
This week, Xur is back on the Flashpoint planetoid of Nessus at Watcher’s Grave.
Fast travel to Watcher’s Grave and immediately follow the road to the right. A massive tree can be found towards the back of the zone approaching the path to the next zone. Xur is actually up in the tree on one of the massive branches.
Class Armor
For class armor, Xur has brought with him one vanilla exotic and two introduced inside of the Warmind expansion.
Starfire Protocol - Warlock chest armor
As fusion grenade specific exotic armor, a players mileage will vary greatly with it. Fusion Harness provides players with 1 extra fusion grenade charge and they also recharge faster when the player makes a kill with an empowered weapon. Fusion grenade kills also recharge the rift ability faster.
Many players have been praising the exotic armor when paired with the Dawnblade’s Attunement of Grace tree. This support build allows players to use an empowering rift basically letting he player have two heal grenades. Plus, the added damage not only recharges the rift but kills made from an empowered weapon also recharge the grenade faster as well.

Fr0st-EE5 - Hunter boots
Pronounced Frosties, these Hunter boots are a solid if not very exciting exotic choice. Rapid Cooldown increases the regeneration rate when the player sprints, while dodging also increases the player’s sprint speed. For missions that require lots of movement, these boots pair well with particular subclasses that rely on melee abilities such as the Gunslingers Way of a Thousand Cuts.
Being able to recharge the throwing knives by killing burning enemies as well as sprinting makes it so the Hunter has a nearly unlimited supply as long as they hit and kill the target.

Armamentarium - Titan chest armor
Another useful exotic that isn’t as flashy as some of the newer options made available in the Forsaken expansion. And Another Thing grants the Titan player with a second grenade charge to use. Honestly, having two grenades at one time is always a good thing, and gives players plenty of options when jumping into PvE or the Crucible.

Exotic Weapon
The Vigilance Wing, an exotic pulse rifle, is the weapon on offer from Xur this week. Unlike traditional three burst pulse rifles, Vigilance Wing features the Hard Truths intrinsic perk which turns the weapon into a five burst rifle. If that wasn’t enough, when a nearby ally is killed, the player using the weapon gains instant health regeneration and increased movement speed.
With as powerful as pulse rifles currently are in the meta, the Vigilance Wing is an easy choice to recommend for those players who don’t have this weapon. Definitely worth spending shards on this week and it’s likely that the weapon will have an increased presence in the Crucible this weekend.
