While the news is no doubt disappointing for players, Season of Arrivals has been extended to the new expansion launch date. This extra time gives players more chances to finish off their Moments of Triumphs, tackle the limited time Prophecy dungeon, and other seasonal content. In addition, Bungie is adding new content to the seasonal roadmap including the annual Festival of the Lost celebration as well as a few other things it’s keeping under wraps for the time being.

One thing that is never delayed is the return of the exotic merchant Xur to the world of Destiny 2. Follow this guide for his location as well as a review of what he’s currently selling for the weekend of July 17, 2020.
Where is Xur?
Xur is back in the Tower this week, but players may find that the need to visit him isn’t nearly as strong as usual. More on that in a moment.
Load into The Tower’s original fast travel location and immediately head left after loading in. Follow the winding path and stairs down into The Hanger. Take another left to run by the Dead Orbit crew to find a metal staircase behind them that leads to the mysterious merchant looking out at the snow-covered mountains.
Class Armor
As he’s been doing for the past few weeks, Xur is no longer selling collection rolled gear. The armor he now has features randomized stats and perks, which should revitalize player interest in what the merchant has each week. In addition, players can use an Exotic Cypher to purchase a second fated engram from the merchant.
Here are Xur’s three gear pieces this weekend:
Vesper of Radius - Warlock gauntlets
The rarely seen Vesper of Radius is a subclass neutral exotic that enhances the Warlock’s Rift ability. Planetary Torrent releases an arc shockwave when the rift is first cast and recharges it faster if the player is surrounded by enemies.
While this gear was buffed roughly a year ago, it remains very hard to recommend with such better exotic options available to Warlocks currently. The damage from the rift is fine, but ultimately it’s not worth using the exotic armor slot over some other Warlock gear.
Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:
Mobility +9 Resilience +9 Recovery +16 Discipline +11 Intellect +18 Strength +2
Lucky Raspberry - Hunter chest armor
The Lucky Raspberry is another item which hasn’t been seen all that much with Xur, though for most Hunter players, this probably isn’t a bad thing. In fact, this item should only be used by those willing to use arc-bolt grenades. Through the Probability Matrix perk, Arc Bolt grenades have increased chaining capabilities and also have a chance to recharge each time it deals damage. A full chain always recharges.
Naturally, this exotic offers zero value for players not using arc bolt grenades. Ultimately, there are better options available so this is another item players can pass on.
Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:
Mobility +15 Resilience +16 Recovery +2 Discipline +16 Intellect +7 Strength +8
Peacekeepers - Titan leg armor
After more than half a year off, the Peacekeepers are back in stock for Titan players. Unfortunately, these exotics are a hit or miss with players because they only really benefit one particular playstyle. Its intrinsic perk is called Mecha Holster and it reloads stowed Submachine Guns. It allows players to ready them instantly, improves SMG handling, and increases movement while wielding one.
While there are great SMG guns in the game like The Recluse, this gear is hard to recommend because the benefit they provide just isn’t all that great. Not only that, equipping these means players are unable to equip better exotic armor. All in all, these are a pass.
Solar Enhanced. Stat Values:
Mobility +8 Resilience +19 Recovery +6 Discipline +7 Intellect +2 Strength +21
Exotic Weapon
Skyburner’s Oath is a classic Destiny 2 exotic, something introduced at launch with the base game. Like the most recent Heir Apparent, Skyburner’s Oath is another Cabal style weapon. The defining feature of this weapon comes from its perk Slug Rifle which alters the firing rate of the weapon. Skyburner’s Oath lobs explosive rounds that get stronger and faster when aiming down the sights. So instead of lobbing shots that track when hip firing, aiming down the sights actually turns the fired rounds into a faster, straighter, and more damaging explosive bullet.
While not a pinnacle weapon by any stretch of the imagination, it remains a fun weapon to use in general, though it really shines against Cabal and those annoying Phalanx Shield troops as it not only does bonus damage but it penetrates their shields. Still, it’s hard to justify using it over other better exotic options like SUROS Regime and the weapon is also easily outclassed by other Scout Rifles in the game. Ultimately, it can be passed on.
Additional perks:
Extended Barrel Extended Mag Short-Action Stock
