Part of the belief in the community is that the Season of the Drifter, season 6 of Destiny 2, will be that turning point when at least some of the rarer Forsaken exotics will start appearing in Xur’s inventory. Until Bungie officially confirms the details and start date of Joker’s Wild and its corresponding season, players will have to settle for Xur’s usual inventory of three armor pieces and one weapon.

Here’s where players can find the merchant as well as what he’s offering for the weekend of February 8, 2019:

Where is Xur?

Xur has returned to The Tower this week inside of The Hangar.

Load into The Tower’s original fast travel location and immediately head left after loading in. Follow the winding path and stairs down into The Hanger. Take another left to run by the Dead Orbit crew to find a metal staircase behind them that leads to the mysterious merchant looking out at the snow-covered mountains.

Class Armor

This weekend, Xur has two vanilla exotics and one from the last year 1 Destiny 2 expansion, Warmind.

Sunbracers - Warlock gauntlets

As the name implies, the Sunbracers are primarily for Dawnblade Warlocks. These gauntlets are all about Solar-based abilities thanks to its intrinsic perk, Helium Spirals. These not only increase the duration of all solar grenades, but players can get unlimited solar grenade energy for a brief time after a solar melee kill is performed. The grenade cooldown time is cut way down following a solar melee kill, allowing the player to toss out nearly unlimited amounts of grenades until the effect wears off.

The roll for this item is pretty good this week as it comes with Impact Induction which also reduces grenade cooldown. All in all, this is an item worth picking up for Dawnblade fans.

Gear Rolls:

Mobility OR Recovery Fusion Rifle Targeting, Hand Cannon Targeting, Impact Induction Sniper Rifle Reserves OR Machine Gun Reserves

The Dragon’s Shadow - Hunter chest armor

The regal-looking Dragon’s Shadow armor is a sub-class neutral exotic that is reliant on the Hunter’s dodge mechanic. The Intrinsic perk, Wraithmetal Mail, reloads all weapons and increases movement and weapon handling for a brief time after performing a dodge.

At the end of that day, The Dragon’s Shadow is a solid but unremarkable exotic. While it can be argued that there are certainly better options out there for Hunters to choose like the Shards of Galanor, Dragon’s Shadow has some value thanks to the fact that it basically gives players Marksman’s Dodge for free. The, in turn, lets the user also equip Gambler’s Dodge and gain free weapon reloads and faster melee recharges.

Gear Rolls:

Resilience OR Recovery Unflinching Bow Aim, Unflinching Fusion Rifle Aim, Unflinching Kinetic Aim Scout Rifle Reserves OR Special Ammo Finder

Wormgod Caress - Titan helmet

The final armor piece this week is Wormgod Caress which plays to the Titan’s players strength: melee. Burning Fists increase melee damage for a period of time following a melee kill. Additional kills after the effect is active extend the duration and further increase the effects.

Considering that this helmet is given to all Titan players following the conclusion of the Warmind campaign, it’s an easy item to pass on. Even for players who skipped over the year 1 content when Forsaken launched, the helmet is pretty unremarkable when compared to other Titan exotics. Pass.

Fixed Gear Rolls:

Mobility OR Recovery Fusion Rifle Targeting, Hand Cannon Targeting, Hands-On Sniper Rifle Reserves OR Machine Gun Reserves

Exotic Weapon

Skyburner’s Oath has always been an interesting weapon, but it’s even better thanks in large part to the recent scout rifle buff. The defining feature of this weapon comes from its perk Slug Rifle which alters the firing rate of the weapon. Skyburner’s Oath lobs explosive rounds that get stronger and faster when aiming down the sights. So instead of lobbing shots that track when hip firing, aiming down the sights actually turns the fired rounds into a faster, straighter, and more damaging explosive bullet.

This is a fun weapon to use, whether PvP or PvE, though it really shines against Cabal and those annoying Phalanx Shield troops as it not only does bonus damage but it penetrates their shields. It’s definitely worth spending some shards on this week for players that don’t already own it.

Here’s the complete rundown of Xur’s entire stock for Feb 8:

Wormgod Caress (Titan helmet) – 23 Legendary Shards The Dragon’s Shadow (Hunter chest armor) – 23 Legendary Shards Sunbracers (Warlock gauntlets) – 23 Legendary Shards Skyburner’s Oath (Scout Rifle) – 29 Legendary Shards Fated Engram - 97 Legendary Shards Five of Swords Challenge Card
