Until that time, though, players can find the Agent of the Nine back in the world of Destiny 2 with a new set of gear for sale. As expected, Xur has brought his usual year one exotic armor sets with randomized rolls, an exotic weapon, challenge card, and fated engram, which should give players who purchase it a year one exotic they don’t currently own for that class. Here’s where guardians can find the merchant as well as what’s in his inventory for the weekend of February 22, 2019:

Where is Xur?

This weekend, players can find Xur standing inside his cave on Io.

Select io from the director and fast travel to the Giant’s Scar, where the massive drill is located. Head through the main gate into this zone and stay to the left side of the area. Continue running beyond one of the drill legs to find a cave a little further down against the wall.

Class Armor

While Warlock’s may not be too thrilled with this week’s offering, Xur has a few really handy items in stock. This weekend features two items from the base version of Destiny 2 and one from the Curse of Osiris expansion.

Aeon Soul - Warlock Gauntlets

Probably the most disappointing item in Xur’s inventory this week, the Aeon Soul gauntlets are part of the Aeon Cult gear set between the three classes. For the Warlock, these are an item that works best when other fireteam members are also wearing Aeon gear, which likely won’t be the case these days. Its exotic perk is Aeon Energy which grants added grenade energy to Warlocks, barricade energy to Titans, and dodge energy to Hunters when the user throws a grenade. For teammates that don’t have Aeon gear, they’ll only receive a small energy boost.

This is an item that can safely be avoided this week. There are better exotics available and this isn’t something that players should rush out to pick up unless attempting to collect every exotic item in the game.

Gear Rolls:

Resilience OR Recovery Fusion Rifle Loader, Hand Cannon Loader, Impact Induction Sniper Rifle Scavenger OR Machine Gun Scavenger

Orpheus Rigs - Hunter Leg Armor

Although they were on sale from Xur last month, the popular Orpheus Rig leg armor is once again back in stock. It’s a Nightstalker specific item that really enhances the Trapper or Pathfinder specializations. Its perk, Uncanny Arrows provides bonus super energy for each enemy tethered by Deadfall anchors. Not only that, those using Mobius Quiver have more shots than normal.

An item that most Hunters seem to be searching for, the Orpheus Rig exotic is a very easy recommendation this week. It’s an item that all Nightstalkers should have in their inventory and remains a strong Hunter exotic item.

Gear Rolls:

Resilience OR Mobility Fusion Rifle Dexterity, Hand Cannon Dexterity, Outreach Scout Rifle Scavenger OR Special Ammo Finder

Synthoceps - Titan gauntlets

Finally, for the Titans, Xur has brought back the Synthoceps, an exotic which hasn’t been on offer for quite a while. Its intrinsic perk, Biotic Enhancements, increases the player’s melee lunge range while also improving melee and super damage when surrounded by enemies.

While not the best Titan exotic, the Synthoceps is a solid choice for those running as Code of the Juggernaut striker which stacks the exotic perk abilities with the extended melee range already offered by this subclass. In addition, Burning Maul Sunbreaker Titans have also had a lot of success with this item which amplifies the super and its damage output. Therefore, these are a solid buy this week as well.

Fixed Gear Rolls:

Resilience OR Recovery Fusion Rifle Loader, Hand Cannon Loader, Impact Induction Sniper Rifle Scavenger OR Machine Gun Scavenger

Exotic Weapon

Xur’s weapon of choice this week is the Graviton Lance, a weapon which was once a powerhouse in the Crucible. Even though that may not be the case these days, the Graviton Lance is still a very good weapon to have on hand. As such it’s a very easy weapon to recommend, even if it’s a weapon that players can get access to during the campaign.

Part of the reason why Graviton Lance is so powerful and fun to use is due to its perks. Black Hole is the weapon’s Intrinsic perk, which gives the second shot of the burst high damage and recoil with no falloff. This becomes lethal when paired with its trait known as Cosmology. Getting a kill with the Graviton Lance causes the target to detonate and spawn void projectiles that track nearby targets.

Here’s the complete rundown of Xur’s entire stock for Feb 22:

Aeon Soul (Warlock Gauntlets) – 23 Legendary Shards Orpheus Rig (Hunter Leg Armor) – 23 Legendary Shards Synthoceps (Titan Gauntlets) – 23 Legendary Shards Graviton Lance (Pulse Rifle) – 29 Legendary Shards Fated Engram - 97 Legendary Shards Five of Swords Challenge Card
