Needless to say, the cinematic reinvigorated the community over the potential ramifications it could have on the story. However, Bungie’s weekly post this week had some not so great news in terms of weapons. More than a few popular weapon archetypes are getting nerfs in Season 10 as well as exotics like Izanagi’s Burden, The Last Word, and Lord of Wolves. On the positive side, Auto Rifles are getting a slight boost in both PvP and PvE activities.

Speaking of exotics, Destiny 2’s roving merchant Xur has returned to the game world for a limited time with a new set of exotics for purchase. Follow this guide for his location as well as a review of what he’s currently selling for the weekend of February 21, 2020.

Where is Xur?

For the weekend of Feb 21, Xur can be tracked to the wilds of the European Dead Zone.

Fast travel to the Winding Cove zone and immediately head towards the back where the Fallen typically patrol. Climb the cliffs back here to find Xur standing on a ledge not too far from a crashed ship.

Class Armor

Keep in mind that the Armor 2.0 update has caused Xur’s items each week to mirror the rolls players get from pulling these items from their own Collections. As it stands, players should likely hold on to their shards if they already own the following items. Players can use the Fated Engram to pull something a little different if nothing in his inventory is appealing this week, including newer exotic items.

Here are Xur’s three gear pieces this weekend:

Crown of Tempests - Warlock helm

Warlocks hit it big again this weekend as Xur has another fantastic item for Stormcallers. The Crown of Tempests largely remains the go to item thanks to its exotic perk Conduction Tines. With this item, any arc ability kills restores arc abilities, which includes both supers.

Naturally, the ability to quickly regenerate abilities is a huge boon for Warlocks, making this item a must own. Not only does it trash enemy mobs quickly, it’s also formidable in most PvP situations.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

Mobility +13 Resilience +7 Recovery +7 Discipline +6 Intellect +12 Strength +6

Raiden Flux - Hunter chest armor

This week, Raiden Flux is back on sale with Xur for Hunters. This exotic chest piece comes with the perk Synapse Junctions which buffs Arcstrider staff damage and duration when chaining moves together. To really maximize the return this exotic provides, its recommended that Hunters perform the light hit, light hit, heavy hit combo attack.

This is arguable the best exotic gear for Arcstrider Hunters and is absolutely recommended for players who like to run this subclass. The damage increase is substantial against all types of enemies and the added duration is extremely helpful.

Arc Enhanced. Stat Values:

Mobility +8 Resilience +11 Recovery +6 Discipline +6 Intellect +12 Strength +6

Mask of the Quiet One - Titan helm

This sinister looking helmet is a subclass neutral item, meaning it can be equipped and used with any Titan subclass. It’s unique perk is called Dreaded Visage with provides ability energy when the player is damaged. When they’re critically damaged, kills regain maximum health.

Naturally, this is a very strong exotic item and one that should be added to any Titan rotation for those who don’t already have it.

Void Enhanced. Stat Values:

Mobility +6 Resilience +8 Recovery +10 Discipline +6 Intellect +6 Strength +12

Exotic Weapon

Making its seemingly monthly appearance is The Colony grenade launcher. Insectoid Robot Grenades is its intrinsic perk which causes the weapon to fire grenades that are actually spider robots. Once fired, these devices chase enemy targets (even up/around walls) and explode at close range. As if that isn’t enough, when holstered, the gun refills its magazine as well.

For now, this weapon remains a top pick for PvP players thanks to its homing rounds.  Even with Grenade Launchers getting adjusted when season 10 kicks off,  The Colony remains an easy recommendation for those who don’t yet have it. It’ll also help complete many of the grenade launcher related quests as well like the Wendigo or Mountaintop.

Additional perks:
