While we’ve detailed all of the gear and triumphs that will be expiring when Season 4 ends, there is some confusion regarding the Crucible quests tied to Luna’s Howl, Not Forgotten, and Redrix’s Broadsword. These quests do have steps that will be affected by the Season 4 reset, so there are some important things to know.
Luna’s Howl and Not Forgotten
For Luna’s Howl and Not Forgotten, the most important thing to be aware of is the final step in each weapon’s quests. Luna’s Howl requires that players reach Fabled rank (2100 Glory) in the Competitive playlist, while Not Forgotten requires players hit Legend (5500 Glory). These steps are the important ones, because they are both the last in the long journey towards acquiring the weapons and they are the ones that can reset.
Any other steps along the way toward Luna’s Howl or Not Forgotten will not be reset when Season 4 ends. So if a player is mid way through getting solar kills or precision hand cannon kills, they don’t need to worry about the Season 4 changeover.
However, if said player has already hit 2100 Glory or 5500 Glory they must reach that step in the weapon’s respective quest for it to count. If they don’t unlock that specific quest step, then their Glory will be reset on November 27th and they will have to start over from zero.
Similarly, if a Destiny 2 player is on the final quest step and not yet at 2100 Glory or 5500 Glory, their rank will reset at the end of Season 4. Every other step will still be complete but the work towards getting 2100 will be completely erased.
Redrix’s Broadsword
For Redrix’s Broadsword, it’s a similar situation but with the 5 Valor rank resets. Players must complete all 5 resets within a single season, so you have until November 27th to get that done. The other steps to the quest, though, will carry over.
The good news is that the Luna’s Howl quest, the Not Forgotten quest, and the Redrix’s Broadsword quest are not going away with the end of Season 4. Moreover, most of the steps in the quest will not reset if players have already completed them. The only thing to worry about is hitting those rank milestones, and there’s not much time left to get there.
Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
