The first part of the equation is knowing which rune combinations players need to influence the exact weapon and its Masterwork trait, which is explained in Game Rant’s guide about how to use the Chalice of Opulence. After that, players will need to run the Menagerie and reach the final chest. While the game matchmakes, to get the most out of the activity (and the final chest), it’s best to go in with friends. After opening the chest, go back through the previous area of the Menagerie and wait for the name of the previous location to load on screen and then return to the chest to open it again.

Moving on from the method of how to most efficiently farm the Menagerie in Destiny 2, here are the Menagerie weapons’ perfect rolls for both PvP and PvE.

Beloved

The Beloved sniper rifle is highly sought after because Destiny veterans claim it is one of best snipers in the game and feels just like popular Destiny 1 sniper rifles like LDR-5001. It’s most popular in PvP but the right roll also has its place in PvE.

Beloved PvP roll

Full Bore Accurized Rounds Snapshot Sights Quickdraw / Or Box Breathing for the ability to one-shot most supers Range Masterwork

Beloved PvE roll

Full Bore Accurized Rounds Demolitionist or Field Prep Fourth Time’s the Charm Range or Handling Masterwork

Austringer

Like Beloved, Austringer also brings back the Destiny 1 nostalgia as it is, in effect, the Eyasluna hand cannon from the first game.

Austringer PvP roll

Full Bore Accurized Rounds Eye of the Storm or Outlaw Rangefinder Range Masterwork

Austringer PvE roll

Full Bore Accurized Rounds Outlaw Rampage Range Masterwork

Imperial Decree

Imperial Decree is very similar to the Nightfall-exclusive Mindbender’s Ambition but allows players to better farm for the exact rolls they want.

Imperial Decree PvP roll

Full Choke Accurized Rounds Slideshot Swashbuckler Range Masterwork

Imperial Decree PvE roll

Smoothbore Accurized Rounds Grave Robber Trench Barrel Range or Handling Masterwork

The Epicurean

Most players have identified the Erentil FR4 as the best fusion rifle in the game, especially for PvP, but The Epicurean can stand up with Erentil.

The Epicurean PvP roll

Full Bore Accelerated Coils or Projection Fuse Tap the Trigger Backup Plan Range Masterwork

The Epicurean PvE roll

Hammer-Forged Rifling Liquid Coils Feeding Frenzy Swashbuckler Range Masterwork

Drang (Baroque)

The Menagerie introduces a new version of Drang, the legendary sidearm that pairs with the exotic hand cannon Sturm. It carries its intrinsic Together Forever perk that reloads Sturm and overflows a damage bonus round upon a kill, but this version of the sidearm’s other perks will be random.

Drang (Baroque) PvP roll

Full Bore High-Caliber Rounds Quickdraw or Moving Target Swashbuckler Range Masterwork

Drang (Baroque) PvE roll

Corkscrew Rifling Richochet Rounds Disruption Break Swashbuckler Range Masterwork

Calus Mini-Tool

Like Drang (Baroque), Calus Mini-Tool is a new version of the MIDA Mini-Tool submachine gun, which comes with the intrinsic MIDA Synergy perk giving the same movement speeds when it is equipped with MIDA Multi-Tool. It’s not the greatest submachine gun in the game and is definitely better in PvE than in PvP.

Calus Mini-Tool PvP roll

Corkscrew Rifling High-Caliber Rounds Moving Target Surrounded Range or Handling Masterwork

Calus Mini-Tool PvE roll

Corkscrew Rifling Light Mag Grave Robber Surrounded Range or Handling Masterwork

Fixed Odds

Fixed Odds is not the best heavy machine gun in the game, but it is still a solid option for both PvP and PvE.

Fixed Odds PvP roll

Polygonal Rifling High-Caliber Rounds Under Pressure Rangefinder Stability Masterwork

Fixed Odds PvE roll

Chambered Compensator Extended Mag Feeding Frenzy Rampage Stability or Range Masterwork
