This four-person Riven kill is the first to be reported, and it was accomplished by Destiny 2 streamer Gigz and his clanmates. The full boss encounter can be seen here:
Usually, fireteams split up into two groups of three to take on the two sides of the Riven fight. The same strategy applied here, except that there were only two people to a side instead of three, putting more pressure on every player to clear adds, complete the symbol puzzle, and put out enough damage to take down Riven in the multiple damage phases of the fight.
It’s an impressive feat considering that very few players were even able to complete the raid since it launched, but on the other hand, it is unsurprising that these top-tier players have figured out a way to start completing the raid’s challenges with fewer than the standard six players. Anyone who has paid attention to Destiny in the past has seen the same thing happen after the launch of each raid, as players begin to challenge themselves further with new feats that they create themselves.
After the raid was beaten, it unlocked a new world quest, strike, and Gambit map for all players. Players have also discovered a new puzzle that is tied to the symbols found in the raid, although no one has cracked its secrets as of yet.
Destiny 2: Forsaken is available now on PC, PS4, and Xbox One.
