Over on the Destiny 2 sub-Reddit, players have begun reporting a glitch related to Sunbreaker Titans using the Warmind exotic gauntlet, Warmgod Caress. The exotic perk on this armor is called Burning Fists that increases melee damage after a melee kill that stacks up to five times. When paired with Roaring Flames and the Throwing Hammer, the damage increases even further.

With maximum stacks, players can switch gear to a different piece of armor and then equip the Wormgod Caress again. Players are discovering that the timer is gone, but the damage buff remains. The damage remains permanently until the player leaves the zone or reprocs the buff again. However, if players perform the gear swap again, the timer gets removed and the times five damage buff is restored. YouTuber Ehroar breaks it down in his video.
Interestingly enough, reports are starting to trickle in that Warlock’s using the Winter’s Guile exotic gauntlets can also benefit from this damage buff. These exotics feature the Warlord’s Sigil perk which grants added melee damage following a melee kill.
While this damage buff may not be as significant as the Hunter’s former one punch kill glitch from earlier in 2019, it’s still something that Bungie is likely going to adjust. However, due to console loading times when jumping in and out of the menu, this is likely going to be something only PC players are really going to be taking advantage of.
Unfortunately for Bungie, this bug joins a growing list of other issues which have steadily risen during the current season. The biggest pain for players right now is the inactive obelisk in the EDZ, an annoying glitch that forces players to reload the zone over and over until it becomes available. However, the Gambit pinnacle quest can also get bugged, a Telesto exploit has returned, Polaris Lance’s unique ability was not triggering, certain mods have given players infinite supers, and much more.
Destiny 2 is available now for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One.
