Even before the expansion was officially unveiled, fans were trying to decipher banner images and sound recordings posted by Bungie to see if they could be hiding clues regarding the next big expansion of Destiny 2. In the end, it turned out that the studio was holding its cards close to its chest as the community was quite surprised with the announcement stream.

Fans over at the raidsecrets Reddit group have been brainstorming about what the small texts seen in the Stasis gameplay trailer’s the title cards could mean. One of the more text-heavy shots from the trailer has numerous acronyms such as “MST”, “OBT”, etc., listed one after the other.
As pointed out in the thread, these just represent Europa’s statistics such as Mean Surface Temperature, Orbital Period, and Equatorial Circumference. However, the numeric values given for each of them doesn’t match with the real-world Europa’s data, indicating that the Light or the Darkness has terraformed Europa to a certain extent in the Destiny universe.
There is speculation that Europa will be a dark mirror of Io in the sense that Io was the last place the Traveler touched (marked by the Cradle) and Europa was the last place the pyramids touched (indicated by the docked pyramid ship on its surface). Besides that, both moons orbit Jupiter and while Europa sports winter colors befitting of the Darkness, Io has a more summer color theme befitting of the Light.
In another shot, a line of code which reads “//EU:6/79MJ:RS 570” can be seen. This most likely translates to “Europa is number 6 out of the 79 moons of Jupiter” but there is no telling what “RS 570” is referring to.
Lastly, the so-called target symbol that looks like this “☉” is spotted in a couple of shots. This could be an aesthetic icon or it could be the Unicode character for “sun” which is also used to represent gold in alchemy.
At the end of they day, all of these could be, and probably are, just decorative texts and symbols. After all, Bungie knows better than to insert significant clues that are this readily viewable in a trailer. Nevertheless, the Destiny 2 community is always enthusiastic about diving deep into media released by the studio just in case there is some hidden meaning in them.
