There are few creatures from Destiny 2 as appropriate in name and appearance than Riven of a Thousand Screams for a Halloween pumpkin carving, so Reddit user u/FranaticArt chose their subject well. They started by carving out Riven’s signature eyes, then made a large gap for the mouth. The jaw and ear plates were made using a second pumpkin, and they used pumpkin seeds to create those horrifying rows of sharp teeth.
What’s great is FranaticArt was kind enough to include step-by-step instructions for those who wish to make their own Riven pumpkin. Happy carving!
For more spooky fun, be sure to check out the Festival of the Lost happening right now in Destiny 2. This seasonal event is the game’s version of Halloween, and includes plenty of tricks and treats for Guardians, such as festive masks to wear and new loot to collect. The Tower will also be decorated for the season with colorful engrams and bright purple candles.
Guardians can even participate in the new Haunted Forest mode, which is a spookier version of the Infinite Forest that tasks player with delving as deep as they can within a 15 minute time limit. How far they get determines what prizes they may claim.
Additionally, there is a powerful legendary auto rifle up for grabs during the event as well. It can be purchased using the event currency called Fragmented Souls, which are accumulated by completing daily and weekly bounties handed out by shipwright Amanda Holliday. Once a Guardian collects enough Fragmented Souls, they can purchase the Horror Story legendary auto rifle, which comes with 600 power and is fully Masterworked.
