How to Get Balanced Flavors and Sharp Flavors
Common materials like Dark Ether Cane are obtained by killing enemies that belong to a specific race, which for the Dark Ether Cane is the Scorn. Rare materials, however, require kills with one or more weapon types or even different actions altogether. There are a few ways to get Balanced Flavors and Sharp Flavors.
To get Balanced Flavors, players have to defeat opponents with:

To get Sharp Flavors, Destiny 2 players simply need to kill enemies with swords. However, this material seems to work a bit differently, considering that multiple kills might yield a material that corresponds to the sword’s element, rather than Sharp Flavors.
As for Balanced Flavors, a great way to get them is to use a rather fast-firing weapon that uses Primary ammo, which is infinite, whereas using sniper rifles might be less efficient because they use Special ammo. The 30th Anniversary Pack’s BxR-55 Battler is a great option for Balanced Flavor, especially if combined with perks like Outlaw and Kill Clip, which make solo PvE content in Destiny 2 a breeze.
As for Sharp Flavors, one of the best strategies is to try and kill multiple enemies with a single swing or two, which means that the best swords to use are those with the Vortex Frame for AoE damage. Dares of Eternity is a good place to farm for these, considering it’s rather easy to obtain Starhorse’s Favor for at least one whole round, which provides close to infinite Heavy ammo.
Players who already got the new Zephyr Legendary sword, possibly with Cold Steel, can also take their time to test it while also farming for Sharp Flavors at the same time.
Destiny 2 is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
